Calderano Reaches WTT São José Singles Final After Mixed Doubles Silver

Hugo Calderano advanced to the WTT Star Contender singles final after a five-set win over Japan's Yukiya Uda, setting up a title match with France's Alexis Lebrun.
Calderano and Bruna Takahashi lost the mixed-doubles final to Japan's Shunsuke Togami and Satsuki Odo by 3–1 and finished as runners-up.
The Brazilian pair reached the doubles final by beating Hong Kong's Yiu Kwan To and Ng Wing Lam in straight sets in the semifinal.
Bruna Takahashi was eliminated earlier in the women's singles in a five-set loss to Germany's Nina Mittelham.
Formed less than two years ago, the 'Calderashi' partnership already has major titles including the WTT Singapore Smash and Pan-American gold, and Calderano remains world No. 8 with the home tournament boosting their season momentum.
